Leadership

“When I was 17, my grandmother was admitted to hospice. Since then, it’s been my calling to ensure that residents receive the same level of compassionate care that my grandmother had.”

Michelle Flowers

MBA, LNHA

Administrator

Driven to serve others at a young age, Michelle started her journey in the skilled nursing facility industry while in high school as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she learned the daily operations from the ground up. From there, while enrolled in an Administrator in Training Program, she successfully completed a Master’s in Business Administration during the Summer of 2016 and became licensed to run skilled nursing facilities in South Carolina in March 2017. Starting her leadership journey at a sister facility in South Carolina in the Summer of 2019, she was then selected to lead the team at Clear Creek in February 2022. Michelle’s daily mantra includes ensuring that residents, their families, and the team that supports them are treated with kindness, caring, dignity and respect and that all stakeholders feel valued and know their voice and feedback are important.

“I love to take care of people— and I am driven each day to help others feel better.”

Lavona McKinney

BSN, RN

Director of Nursing

With heart and compassion for others and taking care of people, Lavona started at Clear Creek as a floor nurse in 2018. While working as a floor nurse, she continued her academic journey and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2021 and was appointed Director of Nursing. While providing clinical oversight to the nurses and certified nursing assistants to ensure optimal resident outcomes and improved well-being, she continues her academic studies— now pursing her Master’s in Science Nursing (MSN) with aspirations to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). A true patient advocate, Lavona starts each day driven to make a positive impact in the lives of residents, their families, and the team she works with to support Clear Creek.

“Helping people brings me great joy. I take personal pride in my work of being an advocate for the resident and simplifying the journey for their family.”

Meredith Jefferies

Admissions and Marketing Director

With over 30 years in healthcare, Meredith serves as the central point of contact for new residents, their families, referring hospitals and the surrounding community. With a calling to help people— Meredith worked for Novant Hospital for over 16 years, then moved to the skilled nursing facility industry where she has spent the last 10 years of her career. In her Admissions Director role at Clear Creek, she is driven to serve as an advocate for residents and their families and believes in giving back, being kind, as well as leading with a smile and a listening ear. During her time away from Clear Creek, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three girls and her son. An avid cook and a strong connection to her local church, she also enjoys visiting those in the hospital and giving back to her community; Meredith would like to pursue becoming a licensed Chaplain and help bring hope and light to those in need.
